‘The Royal Wedding’

Today during our adult-directed learning time the children took part in ‘The Royal Wedding’. Prior to our activity we held a circle time to discuss the event that was pending and watched video clips of the a Royal Wedding of William and Kate. The children named all of the royal family members, counted the guests and used their names accurately in our play. Taking it in turns the children swapped the masks and recreated a wedding scene in the classroom.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 

On Friday the children took part in whole school celebrations. The children first of all enjoyed talking about everybody’s party clothes and matching the colours to those in the Union Jack.

Followin on from our colour activity the children explored the challenges in our provision. We had a small-world Windsor Castle and Royal family members, wedding dress making, afternoon tea and party games.

One of our children took on the role of designing Meghan a new wedding dress. We have a potential seamstress in Nursery. Look at the concentration and thought processes on her face.
