‘Phonics Pool’

Today during our Read, Write Inc lesson we used our new 'Phonics Pool' for Fred to swim in. The children were really excited to watch Fred jump into the water and swim with the different sounds. It was brilliant to see so many boys accessing this area during their choose time. This prompted an independent 'inital sounds' game.

Following on from our game the children then extended their interest by finding the inital sound in their name. "look this is M for 'Maisy Mountain'."
