'Ahoy There! - January 2020'

This morning we were really excited to see the children back in school. The children were excited to see their friends and talk about their Christmas experiences.

During group time the children couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the treasure chest - they were blown away with what was inside. 

We are looking forward to seeing where the children's learning takes us - watch this space!

Following on from our first day of exploring our pirate treasure the children developed 'pirate play' using the props in the story telling area. To develop this further we added role play resources to this area.

To develop the children's play further we made a pirate ship. I wonder what they will think?

We had a special delivery from the Education Library Service. The children were so excited to explore the books and puppets inside the boxes.

During outdoor play the children used the blockplay to build their own pirate ship. The children worked cooperatively to gather the materials that they needed.
