Pattern Play

‘Pattern Play’

Today Nursery explored the large blocks in the outdoor area. The children used the blocks to make different towers and measure how tall they were. The children used the different colours to make repeated patterns. We support the children could extend their patterns using 2 colours. 

In the classroom the children accessed the maths area to create simple patterns using the threading activities. During this activity the children were challenged to put a certain number of reels onto their string.
