Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Date: 16th Jan 2017 @ 9:55pm

We have had great fun exploring the traditional tale of 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' this week.  After reading the story, we created story maps with alternative endings which we tried to caption using our amazing phonics skills!  We  used the picture cards to try and sequence and retell the story, trying to use repeated refrains.  Our role play area was turned into The Three Bears Cottage, with three of everything (small, medium and large), porridge oats and role play masks. In the maths area this week was a range of containers and porridge oats for us to practise our capacity skills in finding out which container could hold the most porridge.  We have enjoyed retelling the story using the small world characters and creating a new chair for baby bear using the junk materials in the creative area.
