As part of our 'Animals Including Humans' Science topic, we had some very special visitors arrive in Y2! On Tuesday we were delivered 5 duckling eggs, a huge cage, a brooder and an incubator. Over the next 48 hours we watched our little eggs hatch into 4 beautiful ducklings! It was an incredible sight - it took so much energy! Once they had hatched they fluffed up and warmed up in the incubator and were then transferred under the brooder. All week we cared for them, fed and watered them and gave them lots of cuddles. Mrs Scott took them home over the weekend and they had lots of visitors there too! We were very sad to see them go.
