Nursery 2017 - 2018

Mr Naylor

Welcome to St Gerard's Nursery School

"Our Nursery is a place of learning within a loving and Christian community. We achieve this through our mission statement: "Guided by God, St Gerard's is an inspiring and aspirational community where we learn to love, hope, dream and achieve. All staff, children, governors and  parents contribute to school life and share in its growth and well being."

Our Nursery Environment

We pride ourselves on our welcoming environment, where children can learn, be happy and play. Everyday the team ensure that the classroom is equipped with exciting learning oppertunities for all children regardless of their age, stage of development or special educational need. We are extremely lucky at St Gerards to have such a wonderful outdoor learning garden - with this in mind we do use it in all weather conditions come rain, sun, snow and fog.

Autumn Term

During the Autumn term we will be welcoming our new chidlren into our environment and saying a warm 'Welcome Back!' to our children who are returning for another year. This half term we will be listening to lots of familiar stories, practising our counting and begining to identify letters in our name. Throughout the term we will be using the following stories to develop your child's key skills, i.e counting and listening.

During our singing time we will be singing a range of nursery/number rhymes. Please keep an eye on our twitter page to see what we have been singing.
