Welcome to Class 3!
Hello, During this time of uncertainty it is important to ensure your children are continuing with their learning. You can do this by working through the home learning packs which were sent home with your children or by visiting the many websites and online resources to support with their learning.

Miss Rodgers and Mrs Mousdell
In English this term, we will be focusing on Fiction and Non- Fiction texts. We will be creating our own reports, explanations, recounts and instruction texts.
In Maths this term, we will be focusing on number and the number system. We will continue to focus on addition and subtraction, multiplication and division and begin looking at measurement. We will also learn through lots of active maths activities using Maths of the Day.
In Science, we will be focusing on forces, Non- contacts forces. We will also be learning about plants and the functions of a plant, Animals and their skeleton and movement.
In RE we will be focusing on a Christian family’s journey with Christ. We will also be learning about Lent and remembering Jesus’ total giving.
HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY
In History this term, we will be focusing on the ‘The Stone Age to Iron Age.’ We will be looking at what life was like for early settlers in the UK. In Geography, we will be looking at key human aspects of geography including: types of settlement.we will also continue developing our map reading skills.
In Art, we will be experimenting with different techniques, including drawing and sculpting with a range of materials – using textiles, clay, sand and clay.
In Music this term will be looking at expression through music – dance, expressive language and developing our musical vocabulary.
Pupils will take part in PE on a Friday morning. PE will be delivered by Mr Edwards, our school Sports Coach.
Please ensure pupils have their full PE kit every Friday.
Children should have their book bags in school each day so that we can read with your child. Reading books will be changed once your child has read their book 3 times.
Homework will be given out on Friday and should be returned on the following Thursday.
