How do polar bears stay warm? - May 2018

Date: 29th May 2018 @ 10:02pm

'How do Polar Bears keep warm?'

Today, during Science with Mrs Edwards, the chidlren explored how animals keep warm in the cold. Following on from our 'The Lion Inside' story the chidlren spoke about the hot climates that the animals in the story lived in and then compared it to animals, such as polars bears, and how they kept warm in the cold.

The chidlren worked in small groups to compare the temperature of the water when they had their hand in the 'blubber' and one without. The children spoke about the change in sensation in their hand and compared it to when it was warmer and dryer.
